Throwback Thursday: Lolita Skirts My Sis Made in the Past

by - 1:12 AM

These are some of the first Lolita projects my sis had made - most of them as commissions, one for me (though I managed to snatch one up again when it appeared for sale on a sales comm, haha).

Pink and white chiffon; embroidered magnolia flower on the waistband.

One of my first Lolita skirts. Still gorgeous after nearly a decade of wearingXD
Yards and yards of pink chiffon ruffles... like cotton candy!:-)
Mint sparkly tulle - I feel like a mermaid princess in it, hahaXD
How do you like them? Let me know in the comments:-)

  1. Oh so pretty! The scallops on the first one are such a nice touch (and I am sure pretty annoying to sew :-)

  3. Wow, they're all so pretty! I love the colours and different fabrics, as they really add interest to the pieces. The embroidered skirt with the chiffon is my favourite, though they're all so cute!

    1. Thank you Ellie, you are such a darling! *hugs* Yes, that embroidered chiffon one is such a cutie! I was nearly crying when we were carrying it to the Post Office to send it out to the customer, haha:-)

I'm glad btw it's turning for the better at school! But I'm sad your doggie is feeling poorly, is it serious?

(Thanks for your lovely message - sorry, I'm still working on the reply, maybe when you receive it you will see why it takes me so long;-) )

    2. Aww, nearly crying! I don't blame you, I'd probably be the same. I'm thinking of selling my Angelic Pretty JSK seeing as it doesn't fit anymore, but I just can't do it, as it was a present from my Dad. I's hard letting go of such beautiful items of clothing!

Thanks! I'm glad too, but I'm very nervous for the first day going back. :) It's not serious, I don't think, but it's upsetting seeing as it's a problem he gets a lot (especially seeing as we have a puppy around that likes to jump up at him and play roughly), and it means he's getting older. It's sad because I still remember him as a tiny, playful pup, rather than a grumpy old man in pain.

      Ooh, now I'm intrigued. :)
